01/ Scabal
Scabal is a luxury tailoring business with two business units. They make and sell their own luxury fabrics that are mostly sold back-to-back to a combination of brands, tailors and garment makers in over 75 countries. Their fabrics are used by most of the top fashion houses and the best bespoke tailors globally.
Scabal also create their own menswear collections which are sold through their own retail stores and through retail partnerships across Europe and USA.
01.02/ Brief
Scabal does not currently sell online to consumers and see online as an opportunity to present the brand to a much winder audience. They have partnered with Kingston University's MSc in User Experience Design course "UX in Emerging Technology" students to offer a solution. I was part of Group 1 who have won third prize in the competition.
The Ready-to-Wear garments are displayed by category for a focused search.
Ready to Wear
Made-to-Order garments are only made when a customer orders them to enable them to customize and personalize the item based on their preferences. The interface aims to guide the user through the process of creating their garment (fabric choice, customization options ).
Made to Order
The Capsule Wardrobe Builder strives to provide a wardrobe experience for the consumer who can build a capsule of core garments he can create a number of outfits with.
